Brickworks began working with Ultramatic Sleep of Canada Inc. in May 2007, when they were taken under new management. Our immediate task was to update all communication pieces to reflect a more contemporary company with the view that eventually most pieces would be completely re-vamped to focus on Ultramatic's streamlined approach to excellent customer service. We updated the corporate wordmark by removing a dated logo symbol and updating the typeface. We developed a new tagline to better suit the company's products and brand image. "For Health. For Comfort. For Life." now drives all creative and messaging. In late 2008, Brickworks' role with Ultramatic was again expanded to engage a new target audience: the Boomer generation. Previously, most of Ultramatic's marketing and sales had been geared towards seniors who sought a comfortable, practical solution to health concerns. Building on "For Health. For Comfort. For Life.", Brickworks initiated creative and messaging that would appeal to this younger demographic by focusing on the "For Comfort" aspect as a motivation for this group to purchase an Ultramatic sleep system. We moved away from referring to the product as an adjustable bed, and positioned the product as a 'sleep system'. We arranged for entirely new photography that would appropriately suit both target audiences, in a more contemporary setting. We re-vamped the website completely; storyboarded, wrote, designed and produced three national TV commercials; storyboarded, wrote and produced a new in-home sales video, in addition to updating all print collateral pieces with new photography and a 'new look' for the company. « back
